Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and medidote. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use medidote. How we handle your information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

1. What medidote is

medidote is a study app for medical students. You can write or import question decks, upload lecture slides, have an AI write exam-style questions from those slides, and review the questions with spaced repetition. It is run by Malak Elsadek, based in Egypt ("we", "us").

2. Who can use it

3. A study aid, not medical advice

medidote is for exam revision only. It is not medical advice and must never be used to diagnose, treat or make decisions about a real patient.

Questions written by the AI can be wrong. They may contain mistakes, mark the wrong answer, or oversimplify. Always check them against your slides, textbooks and course material. The "Report it" button on the study screen lets you tell us about a bad question. We do not promise that any question, answer or explanation is correct or will match your exam.

4. Your slides and content

5. Acceptable use

Please do not:

We may limit or suspend an account that breaks these rules.

6. Free trial, plans and payment

7. The service can change

We work to keep medidote available, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. We may add, change or remove features. The AI feature depends on outside services and can be slow or unavailable at times.

8. Ending your account

You can stop using medidote at any time. You can delete your account and all your data yourself in Settings, or email emmykades@gmail.com and we will do it. Deleting your account does not cancel what you have already paid for or entitle you to a refund. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that has been inactive for a long time. If an account is closed, your content may be deleted.

9. Our rights

The app, its design, name and code belong to us. These terms do not give you any rights to them other than using the app as intended.

10. Limits of our responsibility

medidote is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for exam results, for losses caused by mistakes in AI-written or imported questions, for lost data, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or zero if you have not paid us.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when paid plans start. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you in the app about any significant change. If you keep using medidote after a change, you accept the new terms.

12. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, and the courts of Egypt can hear disputes about them. Questions or complaints: emmykades@gmail.com.
